The Lake:

Everett Lake is a very private midsized lake (109 acres) on the edge of the Boundary Waters. There are only about 12 houses on Everett Lake, and with no public access aside from it's two portages, the lake has a very quiet Boundary Waters feel.

There are abundant fish including Walleye, Northern Pike, Smallmouth Bass, Black Crappie and Bluegill. Everett Lake is stocked with Walleye by the DNR every 2 years. We have caught some huge fish on our lake!

Everett Lake - DNR Fishing Report

Our bay of Everett Lake is extremely quiet and private. We have over 700 feet of lakeshore and only one other house can be seen from the water. There is an active beaver pond on the property and a Great Blue Heron took up residence in our bay this summer. There was a nesting pair of bald eagles and a pair of loons on the lake as well.

We have a dock for launching canoes, but please note the lake bottom is muddy and not ideal for swimming. To swim, you can canoe over to a nearby point where it is rocky and deep. For younger children, there is a sandy state park beach on Fenske lake. It is a 1 mile drive or 3/4 mile hike across the portage that crosses our property.

Please Note: Everett Lake has a 10 HP limit on motorboats, and we respect our neighbors' desire for quiet and privacy. No jetskis, ATVs or large motor boats please! This is a very quiet setting, and these types of motorized vehicles are out of character for the Echo Trail.
